Windows Server Cluster Question?
Greetings – I am wondering if you can assign a new virtual IP in a cluster to a separate nicnetwork?
Currently our cluster nodes are activeactive and are being backed over the network up via the virtual IP. I would like to add another NIC and then bind that nic to our backup network VLAN. This will anable us to backup the cluster via the new Dedicated VLAN.

pfoaaarrrr…. while it certainly sounds theoretically possible (note that I have no actual experience trying this although I do run an exchange cluster) I personally wouldn’t mess with a well-running cluster for a small convenience.
But I am both lazy and extremely cautious.
