How can i make my internet speed faster?
I have the modem directly connected to my xbox. i want the fastest connection so i cab be Host all the time in halo reach. My internet provider is at&t i have a 3.8 mb connection i live in Chicago, il. This connection some times can just drop on me when im on a killing spree also. is there any way i can make it faster? i have a 1 year contract wth stupid at&t with dropping 3.8mb connection
3.8mb is a very slow internet connection.
I have friends that will not visit the US, because the internet speeds are to slow and their life depend on their access to the cloud… They all have 1 gig internet accounts, and laugh about the very slow speeds we have… They are living in Japan and Korea, but I understand Spain and the Netherlands also have these speeds we dream of having for less than i am paying for 18mb speeds…
I do not know your zip code, but going to DSLreports.com’s archives I found two zip codes in your area, and all Internet speed tests were faster than yours…

You might want to start tracking your speeds, and start complaining to your provider, Senator and Congressman for letting the US fall behind in fast affordable Internet speeds…

There are many places you can test your Internet speeds, but only a few that let you archive your results, to see if there is a difference during the day… I use several local zip codes to keep track of my speeds and call when i am slow, tis funny how a phone call can improve my Internet speeds immediately…
I find no difference in speed using a Netgear router or connecting directly to the ISP Modem…
