Does SSH allow you to setup a Dedicated server?
My Webhosting company allows me to use SSH for my website. Does this mean I could SSH in the Linux os and launch the files need to run the Dedicated Server? Or is the SSH limited to just the website root directory?
Possibly. You need to read your terms of service with your Web Host. Many times, even if you have direct SSH to your server, you are not allowed to use it as a certain kind of server. For instance, you might not be allowed to install an IRC server, or a game server.
